Fast Boat to Gili Trawangan from Bali

Coming from Bali is generally the most common route, as Bali is the most popular destination in Indonesia. The easiest and fastest way to get there is first to go to Padang Bai Harbor on the central, east side of Bali. From Canggu, it will take about an hour and a half. From Ubud, it will take about one hour and fifteen minutes. Traffic in Bali can be pretty bad, so be sure to give yourself enough time in case it gets worse than usual.

From Padang Bai, you will take a "fast boat" to the Gilis. The pier where you will board the boat is right in front of the fast boat office (Google Map search “Padgang Bai Fast Boat Harbor”) This trip will take about one and a half hours. These boats will also stop on other Gili islands, so listen for announcements to make sure you get off at the right stop or ask the staff.
